Natural Wax Series
We produce a low-polarity carnauba wax (TS-1), a high-polarity carnauba wax (HP) and their derivatives.
TS-1 is a low-polarity ester wax that is fractionated from carnauba wax. It solidifies oils more strongly than common carnauba wax. SFC and CS-20 are blends of TS-1 and the other wax: sunflower wax and synthetic wax, respectively. They can solidify more strongly than TS-1 and make a smoother feel.
HP is a high-polarity ester wax that is fractionated from carnauba wax, as an up-cycle product from TS-1 production. It improves pigment dispersion and water resistance. IPG-GEL is dispersed in IPG and can be added to the water phase of an O/W emulsion to form a natural silky film.
CARNAUBA WAX TS-1
CARNAUBA WAX TS-1 is a low-polarity ester wax that is fractionated from carnauba wax. TS-1 is useful for solidifying oils.
TS-1 solidifies oils more effectively a common low-refined carnauba wax. In particular, TS-1 can solidify oils that the common carnauba wax cannot solidify.

NATURAL SYNERGY WAX SFC
NATURAL SYNERGY WAX SFC is a 100% natural blend of the low-polarity carnauba wax (TS-1) and a refined sunflower wax. The combination of these two botanical waxes has an amazing synergistic effect and solidifies oils much more strongly than TS-1, especially the middle- to high-polarity oils primarily used in oil-in-wax solid cosmetics such as lipstick. Moreover, SFC gives a smoother feel, so SFC enables you to create naturally derived cosmetics with both an elegant feel and a sufficient strength.

We made All-Natural Smooth Lipstick (Formulation No. NNLIP008) with 10% NATURAL SYNERGY WAX SFC. All its ingredients, including oil and pigment, are of natural origin. We then left the lipstick at 50 degrees C for 24 hours. Its appearance did not change without exudation.
CARNAUBA WAX HP
CARNAUBA WAX HP is a high-polarity ester wax that is fractionated from carnauba wax. Unlike common carnauba wax, HP does not solidify oils effectively. On the other hand, HP contributes to emulsion stabilization and acts as an excellent pigment dispersant. This unique dispersing ability improves the film uniformity of liquid makeup cosmetics and sunscreens and imparts water resistance to their films. Therefore, HP is also expected to improve PA and SPF in a sunscreen formulation.

CARNAUBA WAX IPG-GEL
CARNAUBA WAX IPG-GEL consists of a high-polarity carnauba wax, isopentyldiol (isoprene glycol, IPG) and triethyl citrate. Because IPG-GEL has the high-polarity wax covered in the alcohols, IPG-GEL can be dispersed in the water phase of an O/W emulsion, such as a liquid foundation.
When an emulsion with IPG-GEL is applied to the skin, the water evaporates, leaving the wax behind. The remaining wax forms a natural, silky film that does not feel sticky or tight. Additionally, it improves film uniformity and water resistance.

First, we produce a de-resinated candelilla wax (DRZ), which solidifies oils more strongly than common candelilla wax. DRZ consists of hydrocarbons and esters, and then we fractionate them as HC31 and ESF, respectively. These fractions are also used as part of HYBRID WAX (HCS-20 and ES-20), and we produce and supply the more useful wax.
CANDELILLA WAX DRZ
CANDELILLA WAX DRZ is a de-resinated candelilla wax optimised for solidifying oil cosmetics. Because resin are extremely removed, DRZ effectively solidifies the high- to medium-polarity oil that commonly used in a lipstick.
PAHs are also reduced, and its total of four kinds of PAHs* is <10.0 ppb, and that complies with the food regulation in the EU ((EC) No 835/2011). In addition, benzyl alcohol, one of the fragrance allergens, is reduced.

CANDELILLA WAX ESF
CANDELILLA WAX ESF is an ester wax that is fractionated from candelilla wax. When added to oil cosmetics such as lipstick together with linear hydrocarbon wax, ESF creates a finer wax crystal structure. Consequently, the cosmetic product has a smooth texture as well as sufficient strength. Because this function is similar to that of microcrystalline wax, ESF can be used as a natural substitute for it.

CANDELILLA WAX HYDROCARBONS HC31
CANDELILLA WAX HYDROCARBONS HC31 is a hydrocarbon wax that is fractionated from candelilla wax. The main component is a linear hydrocarbon with 31 carbons. Because this molecule is not so long, HC31 is ideal for creating rich textures and fine particle film. Especially, the combination of 90% HC31, 5% CARNAUBA WAX HP and 5% Behenyl Alcohol creates very fine particles that adhere well to the skin, in low-polarity oils, such as squalane, isododecane and modified silicone (see figure below). This combination is useful as a film former for a liquid foundation.

We dispersed three types of wax into isododecane at a ratio of 10% wax to 90% isododecane. Then, we applied the mixture to a black tile with a brush.
(A) Synthetic hydrocarbon wax: It is not uniformly dispersed and does not adhere to the tile.
(B) CANDELILLA WAX HYDROCARBONS HC31: It forms fine crystals and adheres to the tile.
(C) The combination of 90% HC31, 5% CARNAUBA WAX HP and 5% Behenyl Alcohol: It forms very fine particles and adheres to and covers the tile.
CANDELILLA RESIN LLC
CANDELILLA WAX LLC is a rare resin that is fractionated from candelilla wax. LLC is composed of high-polarity triterpenes. When dissolved in oil, LLC creates glossiness and adhesion and forms a film. Interestingly, LLC is compatible with pigments, so LLC makes the color of cosmetics more vivid.

GREEN GREASE J & COLOR GREASE
GREEN GREASE J is a viscous grease for dispersing pigments, composed of the candelilla resin, jojoba oil and alcohols. By mixing GREEN GREASE J and pigments, we create a color paste with vivid color for make-up cosmetics. The resin is compatible with pigments, and a complex of the resin and pigments is formed. Because the jojoba oil covers the complex, the pigments are prevented from bleeding into water.
COLOR GREASE II is a color paste by mixing GREEN GREASE J and pigments. As it is a pre-mixture of pigments and oil, it can be directly added to cosmetics instead of pigment powder, preventing pigment scattering at your production site.
Basic Information
Product Name: GREEN GREASE J
INCI Name: Euphorbia Cerifera (Candelilla) Wax Extract (and) Jojoba Seed Oil (and) Octyldodecanol (and) Triethyl Citrate
NI / NOI (ISO16128): 1.00 / 0.82
Product Name: COLOR GREASE II
INCI Name: Euphorbia Cerifera (Candelilla) Wax Extract (and) Jojoba Seed Oil (and) Octyldodecanol (and) Triethyl Citrate (and) (Pigment)
Color Variation: 10 colors
Lipstick A is colored using a conventional color paste (base oil: diisostearyl malate). It is whitish in color, and it is suggested that the pigments, TiO2 and Red 7, are insufficiently dispersed, and Red 7 hides under TiO2. On the other hand, Lipstick B, which contains COLOR GREASE II, has a more vivid pink color. It is suggested that a complex of the candelilla resin and the pigments is uniformly dispersed.
These pictures show the heated and melted mixtures of Lipstick A and Lipstick B on the previous page before they were poured into a mold. In Lipstick A, TiO2 is separated from Red 7 in the oil phase. In Lipstick B, on the other hand, TiO2 exists together with Red 7, suggesting that a complex of the candelilla resin, TiO2 and Red 7 is formed.
This is our theory image of pigments in COLOR GREASE II. In the conventional color paste, pigments just scatter in oil. In COLOR GREASE II, on the other hand, the pigments adhere to the resin, and the complex of pigments and resin is evenly dispersed in jojoba oil.
When a lipstick with COLOR GREASE II is applied to the lips, the complex adheres to the lips. The pigments are prevented from bleeding into the water because the low-polarity layer, such as jojoba oil, covers the complex.
